Exploring The New Pad

Still without a decent internet connection here, but thought it might be nice to share a few pics of the flock settling in. Annoyingly, I don't think I can add captions. Drat. Anyway, as you can see they are enjoying rampaging around the new premises and liberally fertilising the fresh turf. Here's hoping for broadband really soon .

  1. No idea if I will be allowed to comment today...I've never managed before...but does this mean you've rethought disposal of the whole flock? I do hope so xx

  3. Reading your blog has given me hours and hours of joy. After years of wanting to live a better life I moved last year from London to a small village in Lochgelly, Fife, Scotland.

I have my first garden and after a lot of reading I have decided to re-home rescue chickens (ex-batts). You may see from my user name that I am vegan (however not a real bear) so keeping the girls will be my way of making up for the time they spent in the production system. What about there eggs I hear you ask? Well they will be going to the family next door as payment for the mad guy living next door and turning the place into a mini farm.

I just wanted you to know I have gained so much from reading your blog (note pad has not left my side and is now full of tips) I can't wait to experience the highs and lows of keeping girls and look forward to reading more about your new home and what the gang make of it.

Well here is to early mornings and sleepless nights (I've already started having chicken related dreams)

    Yours
    Vegan Bear x
